It is three years since we came to the Tweed Valley Forest Fair, in particular  the wonderful weekend event that is the Wood Market. This year we are foregoing the delights of Musicport festival in Whitby and returning to the creative wonders of Peebles.

In the past the Autumn weather has provided the sharp contrast of reds and oranges against a clear blue sky. Other times a damp greyness with scents of decay and a raging flood of river through the town.

The festival runs all week with many activities over a wide area. We just come to sell and share inspirations at the Wood Market on the weekend of 20th and 21st October.

The Peebles Community centre has great facilities and with the outside activities on the green the event has plenty for all ages and interests. Although it helps if you like wood of course…… Old favourites of many years standing will be there, but there is always something new as well. We met one artist down in Suffolk at Weird and Wonderful Wood.

After the weekend we plan our annual holiday, this time in Edinburgh for a taste of city life and entertainment. This will include a visit to the Bruntsfield Chocolate tree cafe

Then we might even go to a concert by Rachel Sermanni before returning home to courie in.
